Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are not just businesses—they are dreams transformed into action, ideas that fuel innovation, and communities that drive inclusive growth. Engaged in the manufacturing, processing, production, preservation of goods, and the provision of services, MSMEs form the very backbone of India’s economic landscape.
They play a pivotal role in employment generation, entrepreneurship promotion, and industrialization at the grassroots level. Given the vital role MSMEs play in employment generation, industrial output, and exports, we welcome the government’s vision to increase their contribution to GDP from 30% to 50% and to expand their share in exports from 48% to 60%. These ambitions reflect a strong national commitment to empowering MSMEs through formalisation, digital transformation, and global competitiveness.
On this World MSME Day, let’s honour the resilience, determination, and impact of our entrepreneurs—those who create jobs, empower lives, and help shape a self-reliant and prosperous future for our nation.
“The vibrant MSME sector has the potential to fuel the vision of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Devendra Fadnavis, of achieving a $1 trillion state economy by 2027, as well as the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Dr. Narendra Modi’s vision of a $5 trillion national economy by 2027. This can be realized through supportive policies and the provision of timely and adequate finance.”
Let us pledge to support, uplift, and empower MSMEs to build a stronger, sustainable tomorrow.
